I don’t have a lot of love for art, but Bob Ross is my favorite artist.In my opinion, all of his paintings are great, but this one in particular caught my attention. The use of cool blues and greens and warm reflective yellows allows the setting (or rising) sun to stream into the rest of the painting.
The glassy river reflects the vegetation on its banks while looking out to the majestic mountains. I think the concept of the work was to show how peaceful and beautiful nature can be. The only thing that seems to affect the content is the formal elements I mentioned. Because they make the whole picture look clean and smooth.
